Easy, medium, hard, and very hard mean something only if the same rubric is applied every time. We solve every problem, time it, and place it against a fixed standard rather than a gut feel.
Build the test harness
Reference solutions, edge cases, hidden test cases, and the failure messages a candidate actually learns from. A problem is not finished until it grades correctly under adversarial input.
Technical review at volume
A second engineer reviews every item for correctness, ambiguity, and accidental duplication — the review pass that catches the question with two valid answers before a candidate finds it.
